Manager's Comments -	"Disappointing. To take a two-nil lead and lose is not ideal. Lack of concentration at crucial times cost us. To take off defenders and throw on strikers explains the size of the defeat but had we gone in at half time two-one it would have been very different."
Captain's Comments -	"First game as skipper. Good first half but let down by a few poor goals. No point talking about the second half but next game things will change, I hope. Well done lads and Ad, quality game - MOTM well deserved. Love Stu, XOXOX."

"An appaling first half which left us with a lot to do in the second. However, the lads out in a much improved performance, which almost gave us a draw. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late."

"We came into the game expecting an easy victory. Perhaps we were wrogn to think this, as we all know results in this leagus are random. But still, a lethargic first half performance from the lads cannot be tolersted. We lacked invention and belief. We were scared of the ball that we all turn out to play with! This needs to be changed as soon as possible. Second half, however, was a much different story. We were more assured at the back, midfield started to win the first and seond balls and get a good grip on the match with good passing in places. A greater work ethic led to increased confidence and almsot brought us back on level terms in the end. Well done for the second half, lads. Let's not repeat the first. Let's go Anchor! Let's go Anchor! LET'S GO!"

"The first half was too flat and we just didn't put enough effort in. In the second, we were a different team and saw us win with relative ease."

"A first win of the season and, in truth, a comfortable one in which we never had to play outstanding. What was pleasing froma Captain's point of view was the hard-working and energetic performances from all, in particular the phenomenal amount of work Matt Weston put in up front. We played together as a team on the field and on the sidelines squad members gave fantastic vocal support. A big season could lie ahead."

"Anchor's first game of the season saw a strong first half despite a goal against the run of play. Anchor took control and quickly equalised and then deservedly took the lead. Despite being on top for the last 20-25 minutes of the half we were unable to kill off the game. The second half was markedly different with Anchor struggling to regain control. An early goal was the only difference of the half. A 2-2 draw is a good result considering the opposition, there are many positives to take from this and the season already looks promising."
